Laos is bracing itself for a significant rise in temperatures across the nation from 4-7 April, with the potential for record-breaking highs, according to projections from the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
Anticipated weather patterns indicate thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds sweeping across the country, particularly affecting southern regions. In the north, provinces may experience rainfall alongside temperature fluctuations ranging from 14 to 41 degrees Celsius. Central areas are likely to encounter thunderstorms with temperatures varying between 28 to 40 degrees Celsius, while Vientiane Capital could witness temperatures spanning from 25 to 39 degrees Celsius, coupled with the possibility of thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts.
Xaysomboun Province is expected to maintain relatively cooler conditions, with temperatures hovering between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the southern region is forecasted to experience temperatures ranging from 25 to 40 degrees Celsius.
