Oh yes, forgot to mention also the first trailer 'casualty'.

This broken branch fell last night in the storm, piercing a 6" hole in our RV Air conditioner cover!

Several "Firsts" for us in the final 2 days of our 7 month cross country trip:

First back country road that led us to an underpass too low for our RV, with NO WHERE to turn around. Amy had to back up 1/4 mile or so, (fortunately with no traffic as we were in the middle of rural Alabama) to a small church, which was our 'saving grace'. Lol

First time Linda drove ALL DAY

First time we listened (amazingly) to a book on tape. Riders of the Purple Sage, by Zane Gray. Wonderful story which made the Alabama/Tennessee miles fly by. 5000+ miles we have pretty much driven in companionable silence, broken only by the occasional "Did you see THAT?" Or "I need to p*e"
or the like.

First overnight at Bass Pro Shop (normally a long haul favorite free stop)

First flat tire!!!!

1 day of driving left to home, hopefully no more unexpected "firsts"!!!!

Our plans to spend time at the beach near Corpus Christi thwarted by Mother nature. We spent our time here safely on dunes and high ground, but were able to watch the wind surfers and para sailors enjoy the high winds. The upside is that the weather kept the Spring Break crowds to a minimum!

Been "out of service" for quite some time, mostly in Big Bend National Park Texas. Remote and Stunning. More late posts to come. We're still wiping the sand and grit out of our ears.

Went to a local Mexican restaurant in Willcox AZ. Thought I was ordering a "regular" Cadillac margarita with a side shot of Gran Marnier Linda says" I'll have the same " We got these 2 fishbowl sized margaritas 🍹. Never in my " whole entire life" ( here I'm quoting Dad) have I ordered a drink this size let alone 2. The glass is bigger than Linda's head and we had to stand up to sip through the straw but sip we did! Here's to you Momacita🤠
