Summer in Luxor. Certainly it’s a period that we try to survive with the temperature sometimes reaching 46-47 degrees and the daily electricity cut for 2-4 hours. But regardless of the challenges we take this time to spend more time with our horses and together as a team. During the summer we don’t run riding holidays, so we have time to attend the horses needs during the heatwaves. They have daily showers, fans in their boxes, daily treats, love and late evening or early morning rides, Nile swims, and so on. Ensuring that they are comfortable and well taken care of despite challenges of the weather. Meet Bashir 🐴✨ He came to us like 3 weeks ago, skinny, with pain in his legs, a bit unfriendly (clearly we cannot blame him for this). For a couple of days he refused to talk to any of us. Ears back and turning his back on us. But completely understandable he lost his trust and faith. He had a wound also on his leg and shoulder which is much better now. His hooves were really soft and short that’s why he could not really walk for like a week. Whoever knows me they know every time I’m coming from Europe I’m bringing loads and loads of vitamins for the horses. Always trying to be ready for different problems. Here in Egypt there is no such things like big horse shops with different nutritional stuff and nice equipments so I’m kinda trying to have a lot of different stuff. Of course I cannot be ready for every sickness, but luckily I had some vitamins for joint problems and some other vitamins for the hooves. On the other hand Mohamed and the boys were using the traditional Egyptian remedies with herbs that’s why you see him with the socks on of the videos. We were all so focused with our own ways to get him better, me with the vitamins the boys with the cleaning and herbs. So we made a good team all together 😀 of course in the meantime we gave him lots of love and kisses, so eventually he started to open up towards us❤️ can’t wait to see him fully recovered ❤️ Bashir by the way it means the one who brings the good news.
