Due to demand and fairness we have taken the decision to go on sale from 6pm tomorrow ‘Tuesday’ to allow all a chance to secure tickets.

The extra tickets will be on sale from the Town Hall collection only at 6pm tomorrow Tuesday the 28th.

Please note we will note be exchanging tickets - these tickets are for sale only not exchanges.

🎉 Last night, Welcome to Holyhead - Croeso I Caergybi attended the North Wales Tourism Awards in Venue Cymru Llandudno! Although we didn't take home first place, we managed to secure second place, which is a fantastic achievement for our group. 👏

Attending the awards were Nick Murphy, Tourism Officer for Holyhead Town Council, and our hardworking volunteers Cllr Beryl Warner, Lorna Tuesley, Steve & Les Findley, who go above and beyond to help out on cruise ship days. Without them, there would be no information points or warm welcomes for our guests. With 70+ bookings already for next year, we're already planning to make the Welcome even bigger and better! 💪✨

Massive thank you to Holyhead Town Council, Isle Of Anglesey County Council Tourism Department, Stena, South Stack, Cruise Wales and many more for all there help last season.

As part of marking the centenary of the unveiling of Holyhead Cenotaph there will be a Rededication Ceremony at the Cenotaph on Tuesday evening, 7th November.
This is being organised by the Town Council and other interested parties.
The event will start at 5pm at the Millennium Cross at the entrance to St. Cybi's Church. A candlelight parade will then make its way to the Cenotaph. Battery operated candles will be provided.
All are invited, including schools, youth groups, Scouts, Guides, Sea Cadets, church/chapel groups, community groups etc. We are keen to have as many young people as possible attend.

Exciting news!

The Croeso I Caergybi ~ Welcome To Holyhead Group has been shortlisted for an award from Go North Wales Tourism for our work in welcoming cruise guests throughout the year.

This is a massive achievement for us and shows how far we have come this year in terms of putting on a better experience for our guests in the town. We are delighted to have been recognized for our hard work and dedication, and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us along the way.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to represent Holyhead in these awards, and we wish all of the other shortlisted groups the best of luck. We will keep you updated on the results, and we hope you will join us in cheering us on!

Starting tomorrow we welcome The Jewel Of The Seas into Holyhead

With approx 2110 passengers on board many will be heading into town

🎶 We have Live Music from 3 acts in the centre of town

🍦Licence To Chill will also be there

🐲🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 South Stack Lighthouse have also said the famous red dragon may be making an appearance

And also all the wonderful businesses already in town will be open as usual

Join us at Y Parc on Saturday, 19th August to celebrate 150 years of the Holyhead Breakwater!

The breakwater is an incredible feat of engineering that has protected our port from the harsh Irish Sea for over 150 years. It is a vital part of our maritime heritage and a major tourist attraction.

To celebrate this milestone, we are organizing a day of family-friendly activities at Y Parc.

We are so grateful to Virginia Crosbie MP for recognizing the importance of the Welcome to Holyhead Committee. Her words of support are a great boost to our volunteers, who work tirelessly to make Holyhead a welcoming and accessible destination for visitors from all over the world.

The Welcome to Holyhead Committee is a group of volunteers who provide information and assistance to visitors, help to promote Holyhead as a tourist destination, and organize events and activities that bring people together. We are passionate about making Holyhead a place where everyone feels welcome.

Virginia Crosbie MP's recognition of our work is a reminder that we are making a difference in the lives of visitors and residents alike. We are so grateful for her support, and we look forward to continuing to work with her to make Holyhead a more welcoming and accessible place for all.

A huge thank you also to everyone who attends our regular meetings and helps to keep our welcoming committee going. Your hard work and dedication are essential to our success.
