Call to all artists, makers and writers
Yellow Door Gallery & Shop Christmas Exhibition
5 November to 16 January 2020
This is a call to artists/makers (writers, jewellers, sculptors, weavers, turners, metalworkers etc) who are producing interesting and unusual work and gifts to apply to join us as Guest Members at The Yellow Door Gallery & Shop for our 2020 Christmas Show. Providing: A description of their work and a selection of representative images.
NB: Guest Membership over the festive period will attract a commission rate of 40%, so we would ask for the pricing on submitted work to cover this – an enhanced Temporary Volunteer Member’s Commission rate of 20% is negotiable if Guest Members commit to volunteering to provide gallery cover for a minimum of two 5 hour sessions over the festive period.
We will be asking our exhibitors to submit electronic delivery notes by email prior to delivering their work. The information will include:
• Title/Item Description
• Medium
• Dimensions (2D Work & Sculpture)
• Price
All 2D work should be framed to a gallery standard, should have hanging fixings and be clearly labelled on the reverse.
Work for the Christmas Exhibition will be received on:
Saturday 31 October between 11am – 4pm
Monday 2 November between 11am – 1pm & 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Tuesday 3 November between 11am – 1pm & 5:30pm – 6:30pm
All applications to exhibit at the Yellow Door will be subject to selection by the Gallery Committee, therefore we cannot guarantee that everyone who applies will be invited to show their work. Accepted applicants will be subject to the conditions of membership as detailed on the Temporary Guest Membership Application Form that will be issued upon selection. There is no restriction on where the applicant is located so long as they can deliver their work on the receiving days/times and collect any unsold work at the end of the exhibition.
