As many castles and historic houses in England are currently closed, due to more pandemic-related restrictions, a few have done their best to keep their grounds open, bringing Christmas outdoors! 🏰🌳
Hever Castle is, of course, the former family home of Anne Boleyn.
The Italian Gardens, including the lake, were commissioned by the Astor family, who were one of the subsequent owners, approximately 400 years later. They also spent a lot of money on the castle itself.

The castle celebrated its 900th anniversary last year. It was occupied by several queens, including King Edward I’s wife, Eleanor of Castile. King Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon, used to reside here too.

As the lockdown gradually eases in England, I'll be sharing more brief videos of some of the tours I usually deliver. I'm, of course, missing you all, however, I hope they help provide some insight.
I'm not used to recording videos and by far prefer delivering tours in person. That said, I am trying to adapt to this so please bear with me as I get more used to it.
