Just to back up my last post. Pretty disturbing stuff.

Not content with handing more than $900 million to an Israeli arms company, the government is providing a platform for the manufacturer of Israel's preferred sniper rifle.

The ABC fact checks has found no direct links suggesting Australia is exporting military hardware to Israel. My question is, "Is Australia exporting the same through third parties, eg., Hanwha?" Apparantly not, but Noia Australia exports sniper rifles to the IDF, which are used against civilians. It's time sanctions were put in place stopping Australian companies from supplying weapons and military hardware to Israel. End of argument.

The evidence suggests the Greens' claims of a "two-way arms trade" between Australia and Israel is in fact one-way, with Australia importing but not exporting lethal technology from Israel.

Should Australia stop exporting fossil fuels? My belief is that every country is responsible for reducing their carbon footprint. We are not responsible for other people's actions. Sure, we can prothesise, but we have no right to tell others what to do. Do I believe we should meet our targets and do even better. You bet! But stop exporting fossil fuels? No way! We need every financial assistance to achieve our Climate Action goals. When those who buy our fossil fuel resources, can afford to reject the use of fossil fuels, our fossil fuel exports will dry up. What we should do is help those nations achieve the conditions to stop our world cooking.

Regardless of the political reasons behind his promise to scrap Australia's emissions reduction target, the opposition leader is right about Labor's failings on climate action.

Already, with the loosening of our international borders, interest is being shown in our residencies at our pottery in Sheldon. We hope to soon accept our first international resident since our borders were shut due to government concerns over Covid-19.
Meanwhile plans continue to construct a guesthouse pottery school run by Cambodians in the centre of a pottery village in Kampong Chhnang Province where tourists can enjoy the full Khmer pottery experience.

As you may be aware, Windmill Pottery is organising potters’ residencies to Cambodia. These residencies are situated in a place where the last vestiges of traditional Khmer potters exist.
The village potters of Andong Reussey are the most talented yet poorest people on this earth. I am reaching out to you to help us with this initiative, which, if successful, will help bring these village potters with their unique approach to their craft out of poverty and allow them to better afford to send their kids to school.
I was astounded to find that these village potters did not put their mark, stamp or name on their ware. It wasn’t until later that I discovered it was because they couldn’t read or write. They want their kids to get the education they didn’t.

You can help us in this venture in many ways.
Reaching out to others who have a vested interest in pottery. Share our page with them. Plan a trip to South East Asia to experience cultures vastly different to our own. It's safer in Cambodia than practically anywhere else in the world and still affordable to those on a restricted budget. You’d be making a wonderful contribution by coming to a residency or if someone you informed did.

Residencies are available now and airfares are still competitive. As initiator of this offer, I will be conducting these tours personally to ensure any tourists who take up this offer will have a trip of a lifetime. See our offer here https://windmillpottery.com.au/collections/residencies

November to May are the best times to travel as the wet season shuts down most activities other than growing rice.

Help us help these village potters, by spreading the word through your social media contacts? We have found Instagram most effective, followed of course by sharing in potter related groups and potter friends on Facebook. Start by 'Liking' us

Due to COVID-19, overseas travel has been suspended. However, as soon as it resumes, our residencies will also resume. in the meantime, we have not been resting on our laurels. As you may be aware, Windmill Pottery has organised potters’ residencies to Cambodia. These residencies are situated in a place where the last vestiges of traditional Khmer potters exist.

You can help us in this venture via two avenues.
First, you can help by reaching out to other potters you know to inform them of what we are doing. Second, you’d be making a wonderful contribution by coming on one of these residencies yourself or if someone you informed did.

Our first is in early November. The first five Residents will get the trip of a lifetime at half price and we still have a number of vacancies. See our offer here https://windmillpottery.com.au/collections/residencies

I realize it’s a hit and miss game when it comes to availability even with those ceramicists who would love to attend one of these jaunts. For this reason, we are offering more of these discounted residencies from November to May, all beginning on the third of each month. The remaining months are the months when the wet season shuts down most activities other than growing rice

Will you help us help these village potters, by spreading the word through your social media contacts? We have found Instagram most effective, followed of course by sharing in potter related groups and potter friends on Facebook.

I do not want to encroach on your valuable time by sending information that only clutters up your internet space. However, if you would like me to keep you updated on how we are doing with our program and receiving information about future residency offers, can you please let me know?

Even better, will you help us by 'liking' us and, if possible, sending us an expression of interest in attending one of these residencies at some future date?
