This blog is one of the best summaries of the find and the recent history of discoveries on Skye.
A recent spectacular find on the Isle of Skye shines new light on pterosaurs of the Jurassic period. We are now in Tier 4 for at least the next three weeks, which means that we are closed for that period.
We are still taking bookings for later in 2021 and confirm that, if UK or Scottish government restrictions mean that you cannot come and stay, we guarantee a full, prompt refund or, if you prefer, moving your stay to later dates, just as we have been doing to date.
Stay safe, everyone.

About Diubaig House on Skye
Who We Are
Diubaig House is a 4-bedroom holiday cottage (sleeps 7) in Greshornish, nr Edinbane, on the Isle of Skye. Tranquil and secluded, it's an impressively-sized detached stone cottage with loch views from every bedroom. We have a multi-fuel stove (log burner) in the living room. The super-king master suite is downstairs; upstairs is a king, two twins (converts to superking), and a single. Outside is an enclosed 3-acre garden with secluded lawns and seating. There is ample parking, and secure garage storage for your bikes. We can’t take pets (other than assistance dogs) as it’s sheep country.
A 20-minute walk behind the house will takes you to the private shores of Loch Diubaig, from which you can see the Ascrib Islands. If you continue along the track, you’ll find shells, a ruined cottage, a secret cave, and occasionally see otters in the loch. Of course, we’re also a great base for exploring the Greshornish peninsulas, and the Cuillin hills are a 40-minute drive away. If you don’t fancy cooking one evening, you can amble to Greshornish House, a hotel, in the village.
