⚠️ Friendly PSA from your fav TA (Travel Advisor) 👋

📌 If you want to travel over Spring Break or even this Summer (March-August) start planning like, YESTERDAY. 😉

📌 Pricing is up. . . everywhere. That includes all things travel. What you could get for 3k a few years ago is not available now: think double and sometimes even higher. I have zero control over pricing, and I ask that you set your expectations realistically. I’m sorry, but I don’t have access to some secret vault with bargain prices on airfare. 🙃

📌”Deals” are harder and harder to come by. Gambling time to see if the price comes down may leave you with less than ideal options and/or increased pricing. Resorts and cruises are booked or sold out, and then they have no need to offer "deals".

📌Availability is already low for summer travel. This is not a scare tactic - it’s honest and based on my research for current client requests.

👉 This is busy season for our industry - your patience on our replies is SO appreciated!

👨‍👧‍👧👩‍👦I try to reserve my evenings and weekends for my family.

I know my job looks like fun, and it is, I absolutely love it. What you don’t see thoigh are the hours I spend on the phone when something goes wrong with a client’s trip, being on call when clients are in destination, 3am wake up calls to work on last minute flight changes, 5am wake up calls for Disney dining reservations, the hours spent to cultivate relationships on my own time with our amazing suppliers, and the amount of time I spend “behind the scenes” making my clients vacation dreams come true. We all ask that you respect what we do, just like you would expect in your own place of employment.

If you made it this far - you’re a rockstar, and I am grateful for you and your support. A travel agent can be the greatest asset of your vacation!

Hyperemesis Gravidarum… let’s talk about it.👇

IYKYK… this is officially my THIRD pregnancy that I’ve had it, and it’s unimaginably rough — constant nausea, vomiting, unable to eat or drink, weight loss, and extreme fatigue.

All that being said, if you’re a mama who is currently going through this, I’m always here to talk. It’s incredibly hard, depressing, lonely, and isolating. It is by far the hardest physical thing I’ve ever experienced and I feel like I’ve pushed my body to some extreme places physically. Nothing compares.

Hang in there. Cry on the bathroom floor after hours of dry heaving, rest when there is so much housework to do, and remember there is a finish line—even when it feels a million miles away.

Last advice: ADVOCATE for yourself. Don’t let your doc make you think it’s all in your head or just normal morning sickness. It took me until my 3rd pregnancy to get myself the help, meds, and fluids I needed. Don’t be like me.
