Porto is the 2nd largest city in Portugal’s northern region, and is a historical center.
Awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1996. Porto has been continuously inhabited since at least the 4th Century.

Here are 4 FREE things that you can explore in the busy industrial and commercial centre:

📍Bolhão Market
Located near Avenida dos Aliados, Bolhao Market is a great place to discover the real Porto. Open everyday except for Sunday, the market is a lively hub of fresh produce, meat, fish and flowers.

📍Museu Nacional Soares Dos Reis
On the first Sunday of the month from 10 am to 1 pm, all the museums in Porto have free entrance. The Porto Card includes free admission to 11 museums, as well as other discounts.

📍Crystal Palace Gardens
Crystal Palace Gardens are a breath of fresh air and Porto's green lung. The gardens contain various themed areas like aromatic plant garden, the medicinal plant garden, the feelings garden, rose garden and the forest.

📍Matosinhos Beaches
The city has several beaches along the beautiful Costa Verde coastline that are just a short tram ride away from the city center. With its wide stretch of golden sand and good surf, Matosinhos is Porto's main beach.

Lyon is one of the historical sites founded by the Romans and thus recognized by UNESCO.
With time, Lyon has transformed itself into a vibrant metropolis, that highlights its unique architectural, cultural, and gastronomic heritage.

So if you want to explore the city with ease, here are a few things that are absolutely bonkers and free!🤩

📍Concert at the CNSMD
Throughout the academic year, students at Lyon’s Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse regularly put on free concerts in the conservatory’s magnificent setting. This program is free and reservation is required.

📍Courtyards and Traboules
There are 500 traboules in more than 230 of Lyon’s streets, dotted around the Vieux-Lyon (Old Lyon), Croix-Rousse and Presqu’île districts. Only 80 of them are open to the public and it’s best to visit during the morning to avoid the crowds.

📍Museums and Theatres
Travel back in time and immerse yourself in Lyon’s ancient past with a visit to the Lugdunum - Museum and Roman Theatres, which are free on the first Sunday of each month.

📍Trip to Île Barbe
In July, the island comes to life with the ‘Dimanches de l’île Barbe’, an excellent program of free concerts and street performances held on Sundays. Accessible by bike, from the northern tip of Lyon’s 9th district

Fun Fact: Lyon is the birthplace of cinema!📹
