Thirsting for an adventure Thursday! My family and I love seeing national treasures, mountain air, and exploring the local sites. We ventured to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and found some spectacular views on the presidential trail, for a unique spa experience we tried a wisdom stone massage along with a serenity teepee sauna, savored the flavors at Ruby Saloon, and we closed with Sprockets arcade which featured a giant hungry hippo game. 🛏️Travel Tip Tuesday👩‍🍳Accommodations are so very important...it’s your home when you’re away from home.
Top things:
1) Safe surrounding area
2) Clean & Comfortable
3) Transport: hotel provided shuttle service to and from airport, provided to area attractions
4) Ammenties: all inclusive, happy hours, breakfast, buffets, room service
5) Entertainment: Pool, arcades, outdoor areas, on site restaurant, bars

🚗🚕Travel tip Tuesday: let’s talk transportation from the airport & to your destination. 🚐🚃Rental cars, taxi, ride share, shuttles…all have pros and cons. When planning keep in mind what’s your preference. Some prefer having a car to have the freedom to get to their destinations or wherever they care to go on a whim, but not all rental car companies are alike. Another option is a ride share or taxi both are great in getting you where you need to go without having to drive yourself, however gas prices have gone up along with these services. Shuttles are another convenient way to get to and from, some resorts and hotels offer these services complimentary, you may have a slight wait for the shuttle depending on how busy. What’s your preference & why?

Flights, TSA, and packing
Book in advance, arrive early, and pack light if you can. You can get some really great deals booking flights with newer airlines and even upgrade at the gate for a low fee. TSA is no joke, however reviewing the TSA website prior to packing will save you time and stress. Timesaver packing for 2-3 day trips with a backpack is one less thing to worry about since you will not have to check bags. 💼
