Here are some fun facts about one of my favorite rides at Walt Disney World! This dark, drop tower ride is sure to create thrills and give you chills!

On July 22, 1994, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror first opened in Disney’s MGM studios (now known as Hollywood Studios).

It is inspired by Rod Serling’s anthology TV series, The Twilight Zone, and takes place in the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel, located on Sunset Blvd.

Imagineers wanted Rod Serling to be a part of the attraction, however he passed away nearly 20 years prior to opening. He is shown speaking in the pre-show but a majority of the lines were voiced over by a voice actor named Mark Silverman. Rod Serling’s widow served as a consultant for the voice hire.

Standing at 199ft tall, it is the 2nd tallest attraction in WDW, falling 1/2 ft shorter to Everest at Animal Kingdom, which is 199.5ft

Drops are randomly selected by the ride’s computer system, which makes each experience unique. You never know how many times you will drop or how far!

See a 13 min wait on your app! This means there is a minimal wait…so hurry up to get in line!

Epic Universe will officially open May 22, 2025!
⭐️Multi-day (3, 4 or 5 day) tickets that include one day admission to Epic universe go on sale October 22.
⭐️Vacation packages - that include at least a 2 night stay at a Universal Hotel with (3, 4 or 5 day) tickets are also able to be booked October 22.
⭐️Reservations for the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel will also open October 22.

Very soon, you can enter the grid…anytime you want! 👀

Beginning September 9, 2024, TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom will utilize a standby queue. 🏍️

A virtual queue will be in place from now through September 8, 2024. During this time, Guests can request to enter the virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours.

As of this time, there are no changes to the virtual queue system offered at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♂️
