Today I want to talk about entertainment and activities on cruise ships! Some people may wonder if they’ll get bored on a cruise, and I think that it’s very unlikely! The amount and type of entertainment and activities definitely varies based on which cruise line you vacation with and what “class” your ship is. Typically, you can count on longer cruises being on bigger ships with more offered!

Our cruise last year was a 4-night trip on Independence of the Seas, which is one of Royal Caribbean’s Freedom-class ships (fun fact- the Freedom class ships were the first ones to debut the Flow Rider, which is a surfing simulator 🏄). In addition to the physical stage shows shown in my pictures, there was trivia, bingo, movies on the deck, dance parties, and more! For activities there were rock-climbing walls, mini-golf, water slides, and sports courts!

One of the shows we really enjoyed was the ice-skating show. I was honestly most impressed at how they were able to skate while on a big boat rocking in the ocean 😅

During our time on the ship we enjoyed a mix of relaxing pool time and exploring all there was to do and see. I loved that I didn’t feel rushed to do it all. Cruises can be great vacations for both adventurous and laid-back personalities!

I know I mainly post about Disney (I just love it so much 😂), but I also love sending clients on other types of trips! Throughout this week, I want to highlight the cruise industry. My husband and I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise in January of 2023, so I’ll be sharing a lot from our personal experience!

So to kick us off, where will you sleep? Here’s a look at our previous interior stateroom! This is the most basic room you can get, but with just 2 adults, we still felt like we had plenty of room. I personally really appreciated the HUGE mirror. It was really helpful for getting ready because the bathroom is not the roomiest. There was a lot of space in the closet and we chose to leave our suitcases sitting on the couch for the week since we knew we wouldn’t be using it. We didn’t have any issues with noise and appreciated the safe in the closet for our passports. If you want to go on a cruise on a budget, it is absolutely doable and you can still be comfortable! There are bigger rooms with ocean views and even balconies for those wanting a little more ✨sparkle✨ in their stay, as well.
