The trek was long; the backpack, heavy; the company - perfect. By nightfall we reached the top and set our tents. We watched the Perseides and then sought refuge from the cold in our sleeping bags. The next day, we woke up engulfed by dark clouds. Like giant dragons, fighting to keep us prisoners, they stood no chance against the wind and the sun and before we knew it, the beauty of the Tiganesti Mountain (2214m) revealed itself to us.
