The Valle Brembana has attracted artists and poets because of its scenic beauty and unique atmosphere. Especially in the early 20th century, the spa town of San Pellegrino was a favourite destination of great geniuses, artists and historical figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Benedetto Croce, Giuseppe Ungaretti and Eugenio Montale.

They, like many other travellers, came to the valley to rejuvenate themselves thanks to the famous thermal waters of this small town, where the signs of this glorious era can still be clearly read today amidst the stuccoes, stained glass windows, wrought iron grilles and floral decorations typical of Art Noveau.

When we taste something, we experience the texture, the taste and the smell every time in a unique way. What is fundamental is the context where we are.

19/01/2024

The city of Akragas, defined as "the most beautiful city among those that are hotels for men" by the Greek poet Pindar, was founded by settlers coming partly from Gela and partly from Rhodes in 580 BC.

It stands on a plateau not far from the sea, protected to the north by the reliefs of the Rupe Atenea and the Colle di Girgenti and to the south by the so-called Hill of the Temples and surrounded by the rivers Akragas and Hypsas.

The Valley of the Temples was, at the beginning, the old centre of the city, but from the middle ages inhabited only sporadically, so it was destined for agricultural and handicraft production, such as the ceramic workshops, documented by some furnaces. Over the centuries the monuments of the classical city were gradually stripped of the blocks, which were used for the construction of the buildings of Girgenti and the ancient pier of Porto Empedocle.
A visit to this site, especially at sunset, will steal your heart!

You might have read that Syracuse was described as "the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all". Its fame is not usurped: it occupies a very strong position, and moreover beautiful from whichever direction one arrives there, both by land and by sea, and it has two ports almost enclosed and embraced by the buildings of the city. These ports have different entrances, but they join and merge at the other end.

At the point of contact, the part of the city called the island, separated by an arm of the sea, is however reunited and connected to the rest by a narrow bridge. The city is so large as to be considered as the union of four very large cities.

When you come to Sicily a visit is really worth it!

13/01/2024

Sustainable travel means minimizing our environmental impact and honoring the social and cultural aspects of the places we visit. It means stepping lightly into small communities and territories, being aware of their identity, values, history, and challenges. It means being curious, open-minded, and eager to learn from them. It means being humble, grateful, and supportive of their development. It means being a responsible traveller, a conscious explorer, and a global citizen.

This is our mission. We empower both our travellers and the communities they visit to get to know each other, understand their differences and commonalities, and realize that the former are just a way to discover more ways they are alike. No matter the destination we propose, we always put the interests of the territory and the locals first, as well as yours, responsible traveller.
