New laundry coming along nicely 😊 Cabinets are in, terrazzo bench tops to be fitted properly and sink and hardware ready to go! We went with a white painted concrete floor and it looks so good! This room will be used as a makeshift kitchen while the actual kitchen is being renovated. We have our first group of guests staying in March so we are on a time line now to get it habitable for the 4 lovely visitors. Fun, fun! x Jen

I love checking out holiday homes on the internet, there are so many amazing places to stay in Victoria! Tonight I came across The Oxford in Hepburn Springs.....OMG this house is amazing, 12 king bedrooms and full of amazing art, furniture and decor pieces. I LOVE IT!! The hallway runs all the way through the centre of this building . . . it's a long hallway. It's nice to see it white rather than the yellow/cream colour it was. Feels bright and airy :) Skirting and some doors to be replaced but it's getting there. x Jen

I can't believe it's been nearly 6 weeks since I last posted here!! Where did those weeks go?? Busy, busy at WAFFLES with the better weather and I guess a placebo type effect with the most recent lifting of some restrictions ( for some but not us :( ).

Little bit's and pieces have been happening here, the second kitchen has been removed ready to be turned into the new laundry with the walls patched and painted, new cabinetry to be installed, new flooring to go down. Well actually I'm not too sure about the flooring, I'm toying with the idea of having painted concrete in that room. I LOVE painted floors and need it in this house somewhere!

Quinnie has been busy repairing walls and replacing trims which we're damaged from termites years ago. Actually out of the two of us he's the only one that's done any "house" work in the last six weeks. Think I'm running out of excuses and will need to get the paint brush out again very soon! Now with daylight savings and warmer weather the thought of working for hours after we finish work is exhausting but not quite as daunting!

Oh and I'm enjoying gathering the lovely things to decorate, something I haven't really since selling our house nearly 4 years ago. Love these cute vases from Adairs, the basket from Provincial Home Living and thanks to Bec for the gorgeous bunch of Billy Buttons, they are just delicious xx Jen

P.S Still waiting for my new couches, it's been 8 weeks today :(

Room 2 on the renovation list is this kitchen we will be converting to the laundry. This building was once divided in half and had a 2 bedroom unit at each end, hence the 2 kitchens. This pic was taken a few days ago, the cabinetry has already been removed and it should be ready for painting on the weekend. Looks like perfect painting weather coming up too 😊 x Jen

I'm a little torn when it comes to this renovation, I love rustic, vintage, old wood, worn furniture, objects with a story. I also love clean, white, simple, light, new and fresh. The Factory House will just have to be a little bit of both. I'm looking forward to decorating this space with many of the old and wonderful items I've collected over the years along with many of the Factory and Field products I love. What would you consider to be your decorating style?? x Jen

And the after pic! Love how this turned out. I chose to keep the shelves unpainted as it will compliment the rustic wooden shelving we have to put up in this room. Wall colours are low sheen Dulux Domino and Lexicon Half and cabinet is painted Dulux gloss Lexicon Half. x Jen

I went with 2 oversized Hampton sofa's for the living room. They are so comfortable, sadly the lead time for these is about 6 weeks so won't be here until end of October :( I know the colour choice is a bit risky but with a good scotch guard hopefully they will stay looking gorgeous. The iron hooks are a must too! We have been selling these for years at Factory and Field and they always sell out! x Jen

Busy, busy today! New exterior door being fitted In the first living area and will shortly be painted Dulux Domino black. We went with a plain solid door here as it’s not the main entrance door. There are 5 entry doors in this building, we will be keeping 4 plain and the main entry will be a glass panel door. Perfect painting weather today! x Jen

Loving this exterior inspiration! The gorgeous O'Grady project in Albert Park. I've grabbed myself the samples pots of these colours and will be doing a little trail run tomorrow. There's something about brickwork and black that just sits right with me, greenery against black is also a winner :) x Jen

The large high windows in this building bring in ALOT of light! So adding a near black wall to the space will look gorgeous! The painting in the first living area will be finish on Saturday, I’ll post some before and after pics then 😊 x Jen

I have a solid picture in my head of how this whole renovation is going to pan out, right down to the fruit basket that will be on the dining table! I'm saving images of the goodies I find online and through my wholesale contacts that I can refer to as I go along to keep myself on track! We will be completely renovating each room before starting the next, the living room is the first on our agenda. Hoping to have the old flooring up by the end of the weekend and then the painting will start :) xx Jen

As I purchase decor goodies for the Factory House I'll let you know where the items can be purchased from and their cost etc. I love these Jocob Lanterns, they are a French Country product and will be available from our Pop-Up Christmas Shop opening in September. x Jen
