☃️ Heading to the Sierra? I-80, US-50 & several other highways are CLOSED due to the winter storm & poor visibility. Mountain travel today (Sun.) will be difficult to impossible & HIGHLY DISCOURAGED by Caltrans District 3.🥶

Please drive careful and watch our for the local critters!

As visitors return to South Lake Tahoe’s shores, we ask that you please keep an eye out for wildlife crossing the road especially in the late evening and early morning hours.

Many of our critters were thrown off by the lack of people and others are coming into the area for their first time after escaping recent wildfires, including the Caldor Fire.

Governor Newsom announces regional Stay-at-Home order based on the percentage of ICU beds used in each region of the state. At this time, we are not under a Stay-at-Home order, but could be in the near future.

A strict stay at home order will go into effect 48 hours after the hospital intensive care unit capacity drops below 15%. South Lake Tahoe is apart of the Greater Sacramento Region.
