Our final farewell to our Butler Sajja who took such good care of us and then off to the airport for our flight.

I didn’t think it was possible but the water was more beautiful today than any other day.
I can honestly say we loved the Maldives -if you looking for beautiful water and lots of fish by in general quite - this is the place for you!

Another amazing day in Paradise- we spent the morning by the pool and yes it does rain in the Maldives as you can see from one of the pool pictures- fun thing is nobody even got out of the pool 😂. Check out the videos posted separately.
Our afternoon was floating in the ocean.
Our flight home is 11:30pm tomorrow night so we have a bonus day which I’m sure we will sock up as much warmth as we can.

Another day in paradise…..

To help explain how our resort is laid out I included a picture that shows the three different areas of the resort. We have access to all of these area. They offer a non-all inclusive, an All Inclusive and a Premium All Inclusive. We choose the All Inclusive which allows us to eat at 10 of the 13 restaurants with plenty of choices.

We are limited to certain types of alcohol brands and beer which we have been fine with, actually the wine at dinner has been excellent.

Our room type comes with a butler who has been AMAZING- he make dinner reservations so we don’t have to wait, picks us up in his buggy (golf cart) and brings us back to the villa. He really has gone above and beyond for us.

Today we planned to spend some time at the beach at the Hard Rock but before we knew it we were floating in the ocean outside our room and were totally loving it.

At lunch and found they had a band and dancers entertaining us which was really great.

The afternoon we spend time napping on the deck as the weather was perfect today and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset.

Dinner was at Kinkao Thai restaurant and it was amazing and ended our night at Hard Rock Cafe and karaoke in several different languages which was weird and fun all at the same time.

We ventured over the the Beach Club section of the resort and spent the morning in the water. The ocean water is so amazing and warm.
Then the rain come and chased us back to our Villa and it rained all afternoon so we played some cards, read and took a nap- which was a great way to spend the afternoon.
Dinner was at the Chinese restaurant and the food and service were amazing.

Being so close to the equator we find ourselves searching for shade when the sun is out because it’s so intense .. we took full advantage of today’s over cast skies and spent plenty of time in the ocean and our villa pool. Once out of the water we were entertained by several large fish, seven stingrays and a small shark.
Tonight we explored the other resort SAii and made a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe after dinner which as tons of fun.

We ended our night with a beautiful sunset and an amazing dinner. Food and atmosphere at this restaurant was incredible 🥰

I forgot to share my thoughts on our flight yesterday- we flew business class on Emirates and it was an amazing experience. With a total of 17 hours of flying it was so nice to be able to lay down. Service and food were incredibly.
Today was a day of rest and enjoying this gorgeous island.

We arrived early this morning. I took a few pictures from the plane but it doesn’t do it justice.
Our transfer was waiting for us upon arrival and we were quickly greeted by our butler Sajja who directed us to our boat transfer to our island and our home for the week Hard Rock Maldives.
When we arrived our room was not ready which is expected but they gave us a single over the water bungalow to use until our two bedroom villa was ready (this was a pleasant surprise) we changed in our swim suites and jumped into the beautiful warm water.
Our room was ready about 2pm and the pictures I included are of our villa.
I will post more pictures once we find our way around.

Our next trip is coming soon. We are off to the Maldives. Where is that you ask? It’s off the coast of India - 1200 islands in the Indian Ocean make up the Maldives. 200 of the islands are inhabited. The Maldives is known for its clear waters and unique biodiversity, which includes manta rays, dolphins, turtles, sunfish, and whale sharks.
We choose the Hard Rock hotel in an over the water villa 🤗 which has been a bucket list item for me.
I will post pictures when we get settled in.
Stay tune - we leave late next week.

Now that Santa has finished his rounds it’s time to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025. May your year be filled with new adventure and love and laughter fill you throughout the year!
