Our backyard is enclosed with a privacy fence so you can enjoy your morning coffee, an afternoon siesta, or a glass of wine with your travel friends or family at any time! We also have a fire table waiying for you!

In a brief conversation with the owners, it was understood that there was a new feature being added to the backyard. One of the owners who happens to be an award winning interior designer has been planning it and presented it to their spouse this morning. They have come to an agreement for what’s going to happen with the backyard during the Winter months. This is a time where the succulents will be removed, the grass will be dormant and the trees will be bare. Most people don’t think of the change but these people do. I can’t really share details since I didn’t get to hear everything but it must be pretty interesting if they’ve got their designer hats on! We will keep you updated when they reveal the plan. I’m curious to see what it is and how it turns out!

We recently switched our amenities bags to black which aligns itself with our home’s style: no fuss, no clutter... just plain streamlined style with a hint of modern, industrial, and farmhouse. Our bags have individual sized body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. These are just a little touch of hospitality we chose over bulk commercial product dispensers in order to keep the house feeling like home rather than like a business.

Talk about sleeping like a 👑 princess with no worries! Listen, if you don’t like to be in complete darkness and sleep-in late while vacationing, then this is not the place for you! I was warned about the light-blocking shades and how I may sleep in late but did I listen? No! 😫 I didn’t wake up to the first sign of daylight creeping in through the windows and I hate it!

McLane Stadium glows green this evening as the Baylor Bears win the title as the 2021 NCAA men’s basketball champions! Congratulations to the players and their coach whom have worked hard to show everyone in attendance what it means when we say “We Are Baylor Proud!”

A little inside info: Our Team Does Not Work On Easter but the owners do! This allows everyone that provides maintenance services for guests time to enjoy their day with their loved ones and observe their religion as well as attend worship. Having employers that give you holidays off and work in your place as a sign of gratitude and consideration? How cool is that?

As much as we would LOVE to add a fire pit or fire table to our vacation home for our guests to enjoy, it is AGAINST TEXAS FIRE SAFETY CODES to have an open flame beneath structures [the pergola] or beneath overhanging tree limbs [the tree that shades the pergola]. Fire pits or Fire tables must be in an open area with no structures or tree limbs over them. This is the law and as a registered, law-abiding vacation rental property, we must comply.

Thank you for understanding that we would rather keep you safe than at risk of third degree burns. 💗
