Cabrera Town was previously called Tres Amarras where Christopher Columbus sought refuge and reinforced the moorings of his boats to avoid capsizing. Unfortunately other ships were not so fortunate on this coastline. Snorkeling the local shipwreck is a favorite adventure here.

When the conditions are good we have the chance locally to snorkel a shipwreck that is shallow enough to be sitting in some places at the top of the water. Such a rare experience!
