Little village of Elduvík, population 12:
"The town at the end of the road are rarely erected out of convenience. It's a huge draw for me, the inconvenience of it all. I think our unknowing addiction to convenience is silently robbing us of the beautiful contentment's in life.
There's a romantic notion about laboring over something and taking the slow path, perhaps the warmth of a gourmet, home cooked meal is a great example versus fast food and ordering in. Convenience is great in small doses, but when left unchecked we lose sight of the art of living. Just think of how inconvenient the things we love are. Something to think about, what convenient things we can't live without, like a dishwasher, and what inconveniences you'd like to add into your life, like cooking, learning something new, or having a kid/ pet.
Too often we say convenience makes time for our joys, but we spend that extra time binging Netflix."
