🪄 One of the most common things I hear as a travel agent in regards to Universal Orlando Resort - “I want to go the park that has all the Harry Potter stuff!"🪄

So…what you’ll need is a park-to-park ticket to experience ALL of the magic!

There are actually two different parts to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

Hogsmeade is located in Universal's Islands of Adventure, while Diagon Alley is located in Universal Studios. A park-to-park ticket will give you the option of experiencing both of these magical worlds in the same day. It also allows you passage on the Hogwarts Express (more on that later, so check back!)

Both parts of the Wizarding World include thrilling rides, bewitching bites and shops and experiences that will be sure to cast a spell on you!

Plus, you still have access to all of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure!

Fun things to do in Walt Disney World when it rains!

🌧 The good news is that while Florida weather is temperamental, it typically doesn’t rain all day. Most of the time it showers for a few hours and then clears up. What to do during those hours? I’m glad you asked!

🛍 Shop! There are many great shops in the parks, resorts and absolutely at Disney Springs! Take this time to explore different places you may not have checked out before, and bring home some great souvenirs.

🍔 Eat! This is a popular option, so use a weather app to get a jump start before the rain hits, and enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner. Check the app for walk in table service locations, or grab a table at a quick service restaurant.

😴 Rest! Take a break at your resort, or, if you’d like to relax but want something different, consider resort hopping. Take the bus to a Disney resort you’ve always wanted to check out, and go look around!

🎤 Catch a show! Take a look on the app and see what shows start soon. This is a great opportunity to stay dry and enjoy yourself. All four theme parks have indoor shows or films, and now is a great time to watch them.

☔️ Grab your ponchos and go for it! If you didn’t bring a poncho with you, don’t worry. They are available in most of the gift shops. Take advantage of the lower attraction wait times in all of the parks, and special rainy day parades that may happen at Magic Kingdom. Just brave the rain and have fun!

❓Travel Insurance or Travel Protection ❓

Travel insurance and travel protection both sound like good ideas in a world of pandemic uncertainty. But is there a difference between the two? And if so, does it matter to you when you’re planning your next vacation?

Short answer: YES, there’s a difference between travel insurance and protection. And it does matter.

🚫”Travel protection is not travel insurance, but rather it’s a very limited form of trip cancellation coverage that is self-insured by the travel provider.”

🛫Travel insurance is a regulated product that covers losses that you might face while traveling. These can include car rental damage, flight delays, lost luggage, medical expenses and trip cancellation. A typical policy costs between 5% and 7% of the cost of your trip.

🛬 Trip protection is an unregulated product typically offered by a travel company or travel agency. The most common trip protection plans allow you to waive a cancellation fee if you can’t make your trip. Some also allow you to receive a credit for the full value of your trip. The costs can vary, but typically it’s less expensive than travel insurance.
