A new table-service restaurant is making its way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios March 23!

✨If you plan to use Genie+ at this park (which I highly recommend!!), eating at a table-service restaurant is a great way to relax while waiting for your Lightning Lane return window to open up.

🥘 This park isn’t my fav for food options, so I’m really hopeful in seeing an expansion in its offerings.

Land or sea? Parks or cruise?

Pros for parks:
🏰 more adventure mode, playing
🏰 kids under 3 are free
🏰 travel docs not required

Pros for a cruise:
🚢 more vacation mode, relaxing
🚢 less planning involved
🚢 an all-inclusive experience

And some do both!

In that case, I’d recommend starting with the parks, then ending with the cruise.

Energy levels are higher the first few days of vacation, and it’s easier to deal with a delayed flight or a forgotten something while on land.

“Is a Verandah stateroom right for me?”

Consider the upgrade if:

✨you get seasick. Having sight of the horizon can better orient your brain and prevent vertigo.

✨you enjoy natural light. Inside rooms can feel like a dungeon, letting you sleep longer than your body needs, ignoring its natural cues and leaving you feeling groggy on vacation.

✨you want more space. The extra square footage with a balcony can give you the needed zen when traveling with loved ones. (We love them, but it’s nice to sometimes spread out, right?)

🚨 No more pre-cruise covid testing for Disney sailings!

Fully vaccinated guests are no longer required to provide a negative covid test beginning September 23 for sailings aboard the Disney Dream, Fantasy, Wonder, and Wish (and Nov 7 for the Disney Magic).

Face masks are optional.

Unvaccinated guests are required to provide a negative test 1-3 days prior to sailing.

As early as April 18th, traditional character greetings will start to resume at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii.

Expect a gradual reintroduction through spring and summer.

Vacations don’t always go as planned!

This is me on the bathroom floor. Blow-drying my daughter’s SOAKED shoes. At 11:30pm.

We put pressure on ourselves for a perfect experience, and life still happens.

We roll with it. We can still find the magic. Like, appreciating the renovated bathroom floors. 😂

When at Animal Kingdom, I structure my day around this meal. 😂

Satu’li Canteen gets my vote for best quick service restaurant on all of Walt Disney World property.

I recommend the sweet potato hash, grilled chicken, and green onion vinaigrette.

This dish is definitely shareable when ordered as a combo with chicken and steak. (Pictured here.)

Let the cruise line assign your stateroom (adventure), or pay extra to select your own (vacation)?

So…. on the adventure-vacation scale, where do you place your pin? Rarely is it a 100-0 split.

Consider giving yourself a number for:
✨amenities
✨dining
✨proximity/transportation
✨overall

This process will help *you* determine a realistic budget.

And it helps *me* know which resort, restaurant, or cruise line to recommend.

So you know *where* you want to vacation, but you don’t know where to stay.

Set a timer for seven minutes. Put pen to paper and write what you want from this vacation. What do you value?

Don’t stress; you can edit this list later. Just jot down anything that comes to mind.

Some examples from real clients:

▪️a moderate pace; not running all over the parks
▪️nothing smaller than a queen-sized bed
▪️minimize travel time to maximize sleeping time
▪️a hot tub to soak tired joints
▪️not being the one to drive/navigate
▪️flexibility to revisit favorites
▪️sitting down for a nice meal

By identifying priorities, you’re helping yourself:
✨narrow the search
✨establish a realistic budget
✨experience what you really want

🚨 Mask update for BOTH Disneyland and Walt Disney World…

“Beginning Thursday February 17, face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in both outdoor and indoor locations.

“Guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters.

“Face coverings are still required by all guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.”
