A must visit when staying with us!

The New Forest National Park’s landscape is unique and includes the largest area of lowland heath in southern England, a rare habitat that once covered this part of the country.

The New Forest is not a natural landscape though, it has been shaped over hundreds of years by people, by history and by the animals that still graze it today.

Just a 20 minute drive away there is something for everyone in Bournemouth. From the famous Pier and Oceanarium to the shops and restaurants.

Parking is available for one family car with lots of un-restricted on-road parking for others.

Also the lockable garage is available for guests to store their own non- mechanical water-sports equipment or bikes (but are left at their own risk).

A must visit when staying with us, and in easy walking distance.

The present-day Mudeford Quay was constructed in the late 1940s. Immediately prior to this, The Haven, as it was then known, was surrounded by sloping beaches. The Run then was much wider than it is now and the area was subject to terrible erosion. So much so that Christchurch Council purchased the whole area in 1945. Five years later the area had been raised and reinforced with steel piles and concrete.

A popular spot for crabbing, it's a must visit.

The quintessentially British beach huts at Avon Beach.

They are developed from the Victorian bathing huts which were wheeled contraptions that could be taken down to the water's edge and allowed the prudish Victorians a space to privately change into their bathing costumes and enter the sea.

The funny time between Christmas and New Year is perfect for walks.How many walks have you had so far?!

Our beaches are dog friendly from 1st October - 30th April, some like Solent Beach just along from Southbourne is dog friendly all year round.
