We had an absolutely perfect night to view the Lunar Eclipse! Glad to see so many others did as well! The Blood Moon did not disappoint!

Join Adam and family as they ford the river and explore at Rocky Ford! This was such a cool place to find. The whole bed was solid rock, with the waters being shallow we spent quite a bit of time exploring, wading, and checking out the rock layers on the edge. A fantastic spot to hang out, have a fun lunch outing!

little outcrops of geology in Sedgwick County can be found if you know where to look. Most often these outcrops are found in creeks and rivers. At Lake Afton, the outlet creek creates a great place to see the shales of the Sumner Group! I wish they would remove the cedars and create a trail around the rim for geo tourists to enjoy!

This short video highlights a rifle match at Twin Peaks Rifle Club from June of 2021. The location is set in the beautiful Gypsum Hills, and features the landmark Twin Peaks, a prominence with two identical peaks on it's summit. There's so much to do in Kansas, it just depends on what you're excites you!
