🛄Looking back at my travel during 2021. Whether it was to Disney, Dayton, Pensacola, Sarasota, back to Disney, Georgia, Pensacola again, and you guessed it Disney one last time (I see a theme here😉), it was a year of getting out and making memories! One thing my family is passionate about is making memories in the form of travel, and we have lots of travel plans already in place for 2022!

🙌One of my favorite treats from my recent trip to Walt Disney World was the Tropical Serenade available at Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom. This tasty treat consists of Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice, Coconut Soft-serve, and an Upside-down Pineapple Cake Pop. It was FANTASTIC! So fantastic that I got it twice on this trip.

❓ QUESTION TIME: Now that we Travel Girls are back from our magical getaway to Walt Disney World, we want to answer some of the questions we’ve been asked. So, here we go:

Q: What is the process of booking a Walt Disney World trip with us?
A: Reach out to your go-to travel planner (there are 3 of us, Christina, Debbie and Lisa) and let us know a few details like who is going with you, dates you want to travel, and things you want to see and do. We will get a quote sent your way promptly.

Q: When should I start looking to book my trip?
A: As a general rule, the more time to plan, the better. We at Travel Girl Vacations typically like to start planning 8-12 months out, but we can absolutely help you with those last minute trips too.

Q: Will you do all the planning for us?
A: We will do as little or as much as you want us to do. If you are a planner and like to have control of your trip, we will be here to help however you need. If you don't want to have to worry about anything and want us to take charge, we can do that too! We are always monitoring discounts for our clients! We can help book dining as well as provide you with strategies for park touring.

The newest ride at Walt Disney World is at Epcot and requires access via a virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. in the My Disney Experience App. This has to be done on the morning you plan on attending the park. We had our alarms set this morning for 6:55 and were very fortunate to get Boarding Group 5 which basically puts us riding 30 minutes after park opening!! 🙌🏻 So excited to ride this new experience today and to be able to cross it off our list first thing!

DINING TIP - Looking to stay in budget with dining. Don’t be scared to order off the kids menu - they don’t care how old you are. This meal from Pinocchio Village Haus consists of half a flatbread pizza, an order of fries, and a small soda. Total with tax was $7.44. If this was purchased as an adult meal total would be almost $20. Save that almost $13 for a snack later!!

Disney has now announced and confirmed that the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser (Star Wars Resort Hotel) will officially open on March 1, 2022

General bookings/reservations will begin on October 28, 2021.

WDW Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and Disney VISA Cardholders will have opportunities to book earlier, but those dates haven't been released as of yet.

Virtual Queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Begins Oct. 1!

When we say “bonjour!” to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on Oct. 1, in order to experience the attraction, Guests will be required to join the virtual queue. Here’s how our Guests will use the virtual queue to experience Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure:

Guests with a valid ticket or pass and theme park reservation who will start their day at EPCOT can access the virtual queue system via the My Disney Experience app and check for an available boarding group starting at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation. This can be done before Guests arrive at the theme park.
If Guests are unable to join the morning virtual queue opportunity, they may check for an available boarding group starting at 1 p.m. after they have entered the park. Keep in mind, Guests must be at EPCOT to access this second virtual queue opportunity, and access to a boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed.
Tips for getting into the virtual queue

By the day prior to their visit, Guests should make sure to have done the following:

Have an account in My Disney Experience
Download the My Disney Experience mobile app on their smart device or ensure they have the most updated version of the app before arriving at the park
Link their tickets to their My Disney Experience account
Have a valid Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT for the day
Virtual queue is only accessible via the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Please keep in mind, only one Guest per traveling party should attempt to enroll in virtual queue. Multiple Guests and devices attempting to enroll the same party could complicate securing a boarding group. As a reminder, in order to be eligible for the 1 p.m. virtual queue enrollment, all Guests in a party must already be inside EPCOT.

Guests who need additional help joining the virtual queue for the 1 p.m. enrollment time should seek out a Guest Relations or Guest Experience Team Cast Member at EPCOT.
