All these goods was stored inside the terracotta amphoras, the pointed containers easy to be stored and deliverd.
The content could be identified by an engraved or painted mark.

Aujourd'hui, j'ai eu le privilège de visiter le Marché de Trajan, l'une des structures les plus magnifiques de l'antiquité. Ce complexe, construit par l'empereur romain Trajan, était un chef-d'œuvre d'ingénierie et un symbole de la puissance et de la prospérité de Rome.
Le marché n'était pas seulement un centre commercial, mais aussi un lieu de vie sociale, avec des magasins, des bureaux et des appartements pour les marchands et les artisans. L'architecture complexe et les détails époustouflants laissent sans voix et donnent un aperçu de la riche histoire de cette ville incroyable.
Un must pour tous les amateurs d'histoire et pour tous ceux qui cherchent à s'immerger dans le cœur de Rome.

🫅🥷 In the ancient Rome the marble arches were mostly built to commemorate the emperor and his victory of a war.
⛩ There was used to be at least 30 of them all around the city, but nowaday only 3 are still standing.
This is the arch of Septimius Severus, located between the Roman Forum and the slopes of Capitoline hill.

🎨 "Just" a random Raphael's fresco.
🕵️♀️ The churches of Rome hide special treasures: you just have to cross the gate and look around.
🤙 Sometimes you may enter a church to watch a Caravaggio painting and, surprise surprise, a pillar is decorated with a Raphael's fresco depicting the prophet Isaiah.

💪 They were practical and strong enough to last for centuries.
