One of Gus’s must stop while in #Iceland was the Black Sand beaches mainly because of Game of Thrones but they are definitely a site to stop at!
One big point to be aware of is if you input “black sand beach” into Google Maps it actually takes you to the plane wreckage which while fun doesn’t really entice us as much. So make sure you search for the right location!
Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most picturesque and just awe inspiring parks in Colorado and one of the most popular to visit. Our time was brief at the park but you could easily spend days exploring all the trails it has to offer.
More info coming soon but a heads up if you are planning a visit soon is regarding the time passes you need to visit the most popular hikes and trailheads in the park. Definitely check out the park website for details on passes!

Have you ever been to Pikes Peak - Americas Mountain in Colorado Springs, Colorado?
The views no matter the time of day are breathtaking and mesmerizing!
It is a must do stop if you are in Colorado which offers anyone access to visit the summit of a 14K foot mountain via car or railway! The drive up is one of a kind but definitely stressful if you have never driving at high altitude mountain roads.
The drive up and down is around an hour, but due to high crowds during summer peak season plan to spend at least 3 full hours if you plan on going all the way to the summit.
