It is a very rich region in terms of thermal waters which is visited by thousands of visitors from all around the world. Pamukkale has been used as a spa / healing house for 2300 years. It is these thermal waters and minerals that give Pamukkale this white image.
The temperature of the thermal waters in the region varies between 35 and 100 C. Hot spring waters of Pamukkale that contains calcium, magnesium, bicarbonat and floride is used for the treatment of cardiovascular, circulatory system, brain vascular disorders, bronchitis and asthma cases and rheumatic syndromes.

Hierapolis is an ancient city located on the top of Pamukkale and is a World Heritage site. There is a mixture of Pagan, Roman, Jewish and early Christian influences.

📍 Roman Theatre was built over two stages; the first theatre was destroyed by an earthquake, so the second was hollowed out of a slope in the mountain.
