Breaking news from WDW today about an extended refurbishment of Big Thunder Railroad that will have the attraction closed for over a year starting in early January 2025 😬 According to the official press release: “The attraction will reopen with a little bit of new magic in 2026.“ We always include information about attraction closures in our travel packets so clients are prepared for their park visit, but this feels worthy of a post since Big Thunder is such a popular attraction and it is such a long refurbishment. The secret is out about Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom. This is one of my favorite table service meals in the park that doesn’t have a ton of great dining options. Walk up reservations used to be available frequently, but guests have recently rediscovered this “hidden gem.” So I do recommend advanced reservations, which is not a problem when I’m your Travel Advisor, since booking dining is a service I offer to all my Disney clients!
