My memories reminded me that on this day a year ago my family and I were at Hollywood Studios on the first day of our Disney Vacation. We have so many amazing memories from this trip. My daughter’s first time on Rise of the Resistance (the look on her face is priceless), the best ever meal at Hollywood & Vine, my baby boy dancing at Disney Jr Live on Stage, and so many more moments. Disney quietly refurbed some of the Standard Rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter! They are now Tiana themed and oh so classy! I love this moderate resort, it is very small and easy to navigate, has a pool with splash area and waterslide, Mickey Beignets (say less), and has dedicated water taxi services to Disney Springs which makes it ideal for a girls trip when you want to be close to the dining and shopping at Springs. The Little Mermaid was the first movie my daddy took me to see in a movie theatre and I was obsessed with it as a child. My whole room was Little Mermaid (man I wish I still had those sheets!). So I have a special place in my heart for Ariel and love meeting her in the parks. You can meet the animated version in her grotto next to Journey of the Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom or meet the live-action Ariel in Hollywood Studios. I also love spotting Ariel in the Festival of Fantasy Parade and on the steamship during Fantasmic. 🧜♀️
Universal Studios has a princess of their own at Super Nintendo World! You can meet (and talk!) with Princess Peach at Universal Hollywood. I hope this experience comes to Epic Universe when it opens in Orlando in 2025!
In my continuing World Princess Week series, I bring you: Princess Dining Options at Walt Disney World 👑
If you are hoping to dine with royalty during your trip there are several options:
1️⃣ Cinderella’s Royal Table. This is the quintessential princess dining experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served inside Cinderella’s Castle with a cast of rotating princesses that may include Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel, and Snow White.
2️⃣ Akershus Royal Banquet. Located in the Norway pavilion in EPCOT, Akershus offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner served family style. Princesses that may appear are: Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Merida, Belle, and Mulan.
3️⃣ 1900 Park Fare. This newly reopened character meal at The Grand Floridian features Cinderella, Tiana, Aladdin, and Mirabel. Reservations are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
4️⃣Storybook Dining at Artist Point at The Wilderness Lodge. This is the only character meal that features a villain! In addition to Snow White, D***y, and Grumpy, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet The Evil Queen during dinner. Snow White selects the appetizers and desserts and guest choose their entree from a prix fixe menu.
Obviously, these experiences are very popular and reservations can be hard to get. I serve as the Dining Fairy Godmother for my clients and work hard to grant all their dining wishes ✨
During the booking process, I ask clients if they have any favorite characters or franchises. If they mention princesses, I make sure to quote the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside Resort. These rooms are standard rooms with two Queen beds but all the royal details elevate the experience. There are light up headboards, princess portraits, magic lamp inspired fixtures, and more you’ll have to discover for yourself! Plus, they are located in a very convenient location at the resort near the feature pool, dining, shopping, and transportation.

I will miss this spot 💕 Whenever I was waiting with my baby while the big kids and their dad rode Big Thunder or Splash Mountain (now Tiana’s Bayou Adventure), I’d come down to this quiet spot and watch the Liberty Belle go by.

Starting in 2025, you’ll get complimentary admission to one of Disney’s water parks on your check-in day. The catch is that since COVID only one water park has been open at any given time of the year. I expect Disney’s Blizzard Beach will open from November-March and Typhoon Lagoon will be available April-October. So the water park you are able to visit will depend on what time of year your trip is planned for.
