Connecting through on your way to or Spain? Make sure you apply for the new electronic travel authorization before your trip.

The application process can take up to a week and costs £10 (~$12). Once approved, it allows for multiple entries into the UK. The eTA is valid for two (2) years or until your passport's expiration date, whichever comes first.
