Yên Lập
Yên Lập Lake is an artificial lake that was originally used for agriculture but has since evolved into a popular tourist destination with several scenic views. Relics of a 17th-century pagoda can be seen on Loi Am mountain. It was dammed in 1975 to create a lake for irrigating districts such as Hoang Bo, Yen Hung, and Uong Bi. Following completion, the water level rises and hugs the foothill to form a wide lake with amazing floating natural islands such as Hands Island, Soup Island, Crab Island, Border Island, and others, as well as enormous pine woods that create a lyrical beauty.

Quan Lan
Quan Lan Island was in the heart of an important commercial route connecting Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, and China in the 11th century. Quan Lan is now more of a peaceful island than a bustling harbor, but it still boasts some of Halong Bay's culturally significant historic buildings, including the Quan Lan Communal House Complex, which includes a pagoda and temple, and was established in the 17th century and has been properly kept since then. Since 1990, this complex has been designated as a Vietnam National Historic Relic.
