Room with a view? Oh YES!

Your home for this 8 night Antarctic adventure is Whichaway Camp and words can’t do it justice - we’ll leave you to savour the photos and imagine yourself right there. Think meets functionality in (literally) one of the most beautiful settings on Planet Earth.

Heated sleeping pods for two have adjoining bathrooms. The dining is mighty fine, even quality. In fact it’s all so good you feel really sorry for Shackleton. Your one night away from camp, en route to the , gives ample opportunity to sample ‘real camping’ in a tent, so you can channel your inner yesteryear explorer. All that said, the camp tents are also utterly sumptuous so no need to worry there.

Join us for an experience of a lifetime. DM for further info. Spaces limited for this unique, one-off expedition.

🐧 Everyone loves a penguin! 🐧

As well as voyaging to the remote Antarctic Point of Inaccessibility, this trip includes a short flight to the coast to experience the privilege of witnessing an emperor penguin colony with up to 14,000 (!) breeding pairs. Their newly-hatched, fluffy grey chicks often waddle over to inspect tourists (the latter are a rare phenomenon!)

are the only species to breed during the Antarctic winter and can live to the ripe old age of 50! According to recent satellite pictures from the colony numbers are on the increase - some rare good news to warm your cockles.

Observing this rare and secluded (from a respectful distance) remains one of the greatest thrills on Planet Earth.

THE POLE OF INACCESSIBILITY, Antarctica
** Expedition raises $€£ for www.watercharity.com **
In retaliation to America claiming the Geographic South Pole (1956), the Russians went on to reach 3 other ‘Poles of Antarctica’ (1959) - the Magnetic Pole, the Geo-Magnetic Pole & the Pole of Inaccessibility (POI). The POI is literally the most remote place on of all. The farthest point, in every direction, from surrounding oceans. 1,400 km from the coast, 3,700 m above sea level.
To mark this incredible feat, they installed a huge bust of , the highest point of their temporary research station, & of course, pointing towards
2 years later the reached the POI & as a parting gift turned the statue towards
Now the base has sunk beneath the snow & all that is visible now is the bust of Lenin, staring out across Antarctica’s frozen landscape.
Will it be you to discover which direction Lenin is facing now? Will you need to dig him out?

UP FOR AN EXTREME CHALLENGE?

What?
We’re excited to announce that Adventure For A Better World has teamed up with Space Nation and their epic Interstellar Astronaut Training Expedition.

Where?
This is a Category 4 extreme mission on the Vatnajökull Glacier, Iceland. Europe’s largest glacier and the film location for Interstellar.

When?
19th-25th April 2020.

With who?
You‘ll be in good hands.

1. Vilborg Arna GissurardĂłttir, a mountaineer trainer who has conquered the 7 summits and the South Pole. She was the first woman, and still the only one, to go solo both to the South Pole and a summit above 26,000 feet / 8,000 meters.

2. Learn from Space Nation’s Chief Space Officer and the last Space Shuttle Endeavour Pilot, astronaut Gregory Johnson.

You will be pushed to moments of proudness and learn how to deal with solitude, discomfort and how to build endurance to achieve the impossible.

We explore different leadership skills, the relativity of time and how to adapt to extreme environments.

During the week-long expedition, team development, leadership, adaptation, problem solving and survival skills are thoroughly exercised, taught and tested.

After successful completion you will receive a unique Expedition patch, a certificate and an accreditation as part of the Space Nation Astronaut Program.

Limited spaces available. For further details, email [email protected]
