This unique hidden gem is located at Kelvingrove Art Galleries - outside to the left of the building by the War Memorial.

Perhaps a rarely seen piece of Art in contrast to what is inside the Gallery...

This bronze sculpture of Glasgow has excellent details on show from the River Clyde to Necropolis Cemetery and more -

I spent around 20 minutes capturing the whole thing in macro detail 🔍

People gathered as I photographed this great sculpture and everyone enjoyed locating the sights for themselves, its great fun ✔️

Looks like someone may have attempted to detatch the famous landmark "Finnieston Cran" as its the only piece that's crooked... trying to make their Monopoly Glasgow Edition more authentic 🤔

Travelling underneath Gotham to find the Batcave (from Cancelled Movie - BatGirl) in this special Episode of Ghost Stations.

In GS - Episode 6, we crawl under the pavement to advance into the Abandoned Railway Station known as Botanic Gardens (closed to passengers in 1939), where HBO and Warner Brothers filmed scenes for the Cancelled Movie and now "Lost Media" - BatGirl.

Two special interests here that I love, underground abandoned infrastructure and lost media, so hoping to find something from the Movie, even a piece of paper would be 💎✨️

Fun fact: when the Movie was cancelled overnight the Directors attempted to sign in to the remote software to view the footage... and were immediately blocked from gaining access. How tragic, so many people worked very hard on this Movie dedicating months and months of their lives to commit to the project... ultimately the end decision is with WB, but perhaps enough people can sway them to release the Movie 🎬?

Glasgow, Scotland.

Where we find Bridge pieces in the River Kelvin that have been there since WW2, after being damaged by an Explosion.

Then wandering down the River to discover some of Nature's Medicine (Turkey Tail & Speedwells) stay tuned for more Holistic style videos.

Then beholding the only remaining structure from the Great Exhibition of 1901 that is in Kelvingrove Park - the cute and very unique Sunlight Cottage (Built by James Miller in 1901 for the Exhibition These two red-brick houses are sited high up in the park and close to Glasgow University. They are a real `curiosity` in Glasgow as they are quite unlike most other houses in the city)

Ruins of Kelvindale 🚂

This viaduct once carried the Caledonian Railway over the River Kelvin (I love this setting and set of photos, very tomb raider) between Dawsholm and Kirklee Station.

I will climb ontop of this viaduct in future with the right equipment, in the meantime keep an eye out for Ghost Stations on my YouTube Channel 📼

I love bee's and wasps 🐝 though I've never seen a hornet in Glasgow until I ventured onto Mitchell's Forest, (that's right I claim this land now ⚔️)
Anyway in Mitchell's Forest there's hundreds of Hornets, nettles like barbed wire, swampy patches on the land... surrounded by water from the River Kelvin and River Clyde with old Shipyard banks to protect from the rising tides... my quest for Partick Castle continues, but in the meantime don't let me catch anyone on my newly acquired land! 👑🗡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Rare Views ⚓️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

*Disclaimer* this is a very dangerous/off limits area of the River Clyde 🚫 it is heavily gated and CCTV in operation for safety reasons. Enjoy the photos and upcoming video but I don't condone going here!

This area that I'm standing on was once the Meadowside Shipyard, before that a Bleach Field, and most importantly before that it was the location of Partick Castle and Bishops Forest...

It is now a huge fortified patch of wilderness where the River Kelvin meets the River Clyde, nearly impossible to navigate amongst this harsh untamed neglected site, but I explored it for an upcoming Series' "Notes from Old Glasgow"
Documentary Video coming soon 🔍

Inside Kelvinside Ghost Station

(Now known as the restaurant "1051 GWR")

A beautiful building by architect John James Burnet - built in 1897 on Great Western Road for the Caledonian Railway.

Designed in a French style known as Beaux Arts that was popular from the years 1830 to 1900, it remains one of the more unique stations of that time.

The two storey building held the ticket and other offices as well as accommodations for the Railway staff and was an isolated yet busy station until its closure in 1942 during the railway cuts.

A staircase within the building led down to the two platforms, were the train would arrive from Crow Road Station before going into Balgray Tunnel on route to Kirklee Station.

Remains can be seen today, such as the staircase imprint, portions of the platforms, and of course the building.

Hidden away behind a fortification underneath the building is the old railway tunnel leading to Kirklee, I explored this tunnel (stay tuned for Documentary)

A rare treat for a Ghost Station to be in operation as another business while paying homage to the buildings history, so I had to check out the inside and grab some pics and a coffee - this venue has great atmosphere, very pleasant, Thanks to the manager for allowing me to record 👏

Stay tuned for Ghost Stations
Part 5 - Coming Soon 📼

Glasgow's Glacial Beginnings 🧊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Did you know that Glasgow was built ontop of a series of hills known as Drumlins? - A drumlin, from the Irish word droimnín ("little ridge"), first recorded in 1833, in the classical sense is an elongated hill in the shape of an inverted spoon or half-buried egg formed by glacial ice acting on underlying unconsolidated till or ground moraine. Assemblages of drumlins are referred to as fields or swarms; they can create a landscape which is often described as having a 'basket of eggs topography'.

Although there is mystery and debate around the exact time of the Glacial formation of Scotland and Glasgow...

This is were we get names such as Ruchill, Jordanhill, Firhill, Hillhead and Drumchapel etc (all built on Drumlins)

This is part of the reasoning for choosing Glasgow to build so much underground infrastructure, because the city and wider vicinity is all built on top of compacted boulder clay that is resilient yet easy to dig into... another piece of the puzzle ✔️

But now that begs the question, what is below?

Here are some clippings from my research into Glasgow's origins 🔍

Abandoned Bowling Club

*Warning* to Urban Explorers - Do not go here unless you are willing to be arrested, this area is heavily gated/private/neighborhood watch and is connected to high society (stay tuned for investigative video)

St Vincent Crescent -
One of the only places in the world with three Bowling Greens on the same street ... members included the Lord Provost of Glasgow and many others - Nixon Blue proposed building houses on this Abandoned site although was quickly rejected with 400 opponents stating that no one can build on this land as it will impact the beauty of the Crescent across the street ... have you ever heard this before? From historical listed buildings being demolished to entire communities being pulverised to make way for new buildings ... usually money talks but not in this situation.

Word on the street (docks) is that there's a hidden infrastructure underneath this here location ... Stick around 🔍
