🏰✨Exciting archaeological discovery✨🐾

Recent road resurfacing works have led to uncovering some fascinating items from the past in Richmond Marketplace. The discovery of medieval animal bones, clothing and remnants of walls and building foundations have been found during subsequent excavations. These findings could be linked to the nearby castle and will not only deepen our understanding of the past here in Richmond but also highlights the rich history waiting to be explored in our historic town 🏰

✨🎨 New art exhibition in Richmond: Visionary Landscaps (and Other Stories) 🎨✨

Local artist David Lawrence is currently showcasing his incredible work for a short time in a must-see exhibition at The Station 🖼️

🏞️ His work is rooted in the English Idiom: in it’s chronicles and customs, it’s traditions and eccentricities, often referencing past legends and myths and he has previously done work for historic houses, castles and the Royal Mint 💰

We love his quirky paintings of Richmond detailing the town’s rich heritage, cobbled streets, magnificent castle and historic charm 🏰
