Hi there!
From Saturday December 10th - Monday December 12th (the public holiday) our friend Marijke and her sister are going to Samburu National Reserve for three days, two nights with Maleki Tours&Safaris ofcourse :).
It will be the perfect weekend to spot some Grevy Zebraโs, lions, leopards, elephants and maybe even the wild dogs!
We are already two people and are looking for more people to join and fill up our Landcruiser Jeep. When interested, please send us a private message.

Good morning!
Imagine having this view standing on the balcony of your room. Yesterday William was so lucky to experience this at Kilaguno Serena Safari Lodge in Tsavo West Nationale Park. Here you don't even have to get into your Jeep to go on safari. You just wait until the animals come and find you!

Day 4 of this 4 days Maasai Mara safari has started. Still smiling faces. Maybe that also has something to do with the member of the Big Five that they spotted yesterday. Picture number 2 tells you which one it is ๐

Yeey, it's a long weekend. This means we have plenty of time for a safari ๐
Zahed, Emilie, Theo, Jasper, Max, Marijke and Xandra decided to go on a 4 days, 3 nights safari with us. Maasai Mara here we come!
On the way to Maasai Mara, you always make a short stop at the escarpment where you can witness this beautiful view of the Great Rift Valley (picture two) The Great Rift Valley is a part of an intra-continental ridge system that runs through Kenya from North to South. The valley is bordered by escarpments to the east and west. The floor is broken by volcanoes, some still active, and contains a series of lakes.

๐๐Let's talk about transport today.
A large part of Kenya's population travels by matatu. These are large and smaller buses that you can find everywhere in the streets. Matatus are used mainly because they are cheap. A conductor, often recognized because of his maroon outfit and also known as donda, will already start speaking to you from a distance to lure you into his matatu. The faster the matatu is full, the faster you can leave. During the ride you can often enjoy (?) the much too loud music while you share a cosy seat for two with your two, three or four neighbors.
With their colourful decorations, many matatus bring color to the streets and thus make it part of the Kenyan culture.

It's Monday! Some elephants to start the week?
Last Saturday and Sunday we had an other group of clients going to the Amboseli National Park. They saw this nice group of elephants crossing the road.
( Too bad for the driver of that black car who doesn't get the concept of sharing nice views and keeping a distance so everybody can enjoy it but okay ๐)

It's time for a relaxing weekend. Let's go to Lake Naivasha!
Lake Naivasha is a perfect getaway from the busy city life at just about 2,5 hours from Nairobi.
Imagine having lunch and suddenly, at a 20 meters distance you see some hippos coming out of the water to have some food. We experienced that here at Lake Naivasha Resort. Lunch with a view, it was amazing!!
A boat trip on the lake? A walking safari at Crescent Island? A cycling safari at Hell's Gate National Park? These are all activities you can do in this area during your weekend getaway.

Good morning Nakuru!
We started our day with the sunshine in our faces in Nakuru National Park. A short stop at Lake Nakuru could not be missed during this morning safari. Great way to start the weekend, no?
Our lovely Spanish clients Marta, Ariana, Agnes, Lucia and Nil started last thursday with their six days safari in Amboseli National Park and are now spending their third morning in Nakuru. As we speak they are on their way to Maasai Mara National Reserve for the next three days.
Sounds like a good trip doesn't it?
