The Mirador Los Pies de Dios or bridge at the feet of God, is a clear glass walking lookout bridge designed to give breathtaking views of the mountains in Baños de Santa Agua! Dare to take a walk on the wild side! Be sure to take photos near the heart at the end of the bridge where you can see 360 degree views of beautiful volcanic mountains. Can you picture yourself here?!

The Shrunken Heads have been seen all over the world as an artifact, but did you know it was a part of the indigenous life in the Amazon region of Ecuador? The warriors would shrink the heads of their foes and wear them around their necks as a way to protect themselves from the spirits of the deceased. Though this practice is not in use currently, it is an important part of the history of the indigenous people of the Amazon. Come and explore the wonders in Ecuador! 🇪🇨

Chontacuro or gusano is a delicacy and an important part of the indigenous culture in the Amazonian region of Ecuador. Their name comes from the tree which they grow on, the Chonta tree and their name loosely translates as grubs from the tree! Lindsey has moved to Ecuador after her wedding to Chad Dickerson, and will be serving with Global Missions in the Church of the Nazarene. Lindsey comes to NILI after graduating with her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is looking forward to studying Spanish here in Ecuador!
