Glacier National Park reminds visitors that advance vehicle reservations become available tomorrow, January 25, 2024 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time on https://ow.ly/ZhWt50Qu6aN. The vehicle reservations will be available for both Going-to-the-Sun Road via the West Entrance and North Fork. Many Glacier will become available March 3, 2024 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time on https://ow.ly/ZhWt50Qu6aN. Vehicle reservations will be released on a daily rolling basis 120 days in advance. Glacier National Park is looking to hire a Community and Youth Outreach Intern for the 2024 season!

The CYO Intern will be involved in all aspects of managing Glacier’s volunteer program, with an emphasis on helping facilitate both our adult and youth service groups. They will help to support individual adult and youth volunteers that are directly supervised by other staff who oversee specific programs such as our Citizen Science, Camp Hosts, Wilderness Patrol, and Apgar Visitor Center Volunteer Programs. The selected individual will regularly engage youth and seniors in their volunteer and education program duties. Additionally, they will assist with community outreach efforts, such as helping facilitate a park booth at the Northwest Montana Fair and coordinating two annual GNP Adopt-a-Highway clean-up events.

The CYO Intern will gain new skills and experience through training and professional development opportunities, enabling them to build a portfolio of professional skills and develop a community of support.

Compensation is $1,050/week
Shared park housing may be available (an additional stipend to offset housing costs will be provided if not)
Position begins April 22nd 2024
Deadline to apply is February 11th, 2024
