The warm, wet weather this weekend has helped the tulips grow and become a little closer to blooming. Very small, limited pockets of color like this photo are being seen in the downtown corridor. Window on the Waterfront, Tulip Lanes and Windmill Island Gardens will soon follow. We are still a good week away from having a lot of blooming tulips.

This property was just what we needed for our 14. We enjoyed the large eating area. The basement & game room were perfect for our teens. Would love to visit in the summer with all the amenities and closeness to Tunnel Park. To note: there are only 2 TV’s in the home—there is not one on the main floor...only the basement and the game room (game room is not heated and doesn’t have group seating). Obviously this can be a positive but definitely worth noting especially in the colder months. The double oven was great for our larger group. Plenty of kitchen cookware, utensils, serving needs. Lots of counter space. Large pantry and tons of closet space. Not a negative, but just to note: no ceiling fans in home. Overall...we would absolutely come back!

The home was wonderful...it is not easy to find an affordable and reasonably sized (i.e. 4 bedroom and not 10 bedroom) home with its own heated pool. The pool, game room, and various spaces in the house were wonderful and perfect for our group of 2 families (6 kids between us, ages 3-14). The proximity to Tunnel Beach was a big plus for us too! The only thing we''d recommend is to get an umbrella for the pool deck to provide some shade and an outdoor table that can accommodate 10 people

Update: The warm and wet weather has increased the amount of color throughout the City, and in particular the downtown corridor. We are starting to see color in parks and along the Tulip Lanes as well. This week will be cool, and aid in slowing them down a little. They are still on track to be almost perfect by the end of the month. tulips.cityofholland.com
