Embarking on a short adventure to a long-desired destination, treated with magnificent rock formations, with a distant location that beckons exploration, possibly revealing remnants of a stone fence, a journey to continue another day 🌻✨🤎

Found a young Brown Falcon yesterday afternoon, showing signs of being heat effected & no visible signs of injury. Was able to cool it down & see it survive the night.

While was very helpful, being in a “remote location” was proving to be challenging to get the bird to care. response after a quick call this morning, was nothing short of phenomenal, liaising quickly with & within a couple of hours, the bird was collected & transported into suitable, registered, professional care & I hope, back in the wild soon.

Corunastylis nudiscapum* Dense Midge Orchid - A resilient species of small terrestrial orchid endemic to Tasmania, boasting a single thin leaf fused to the flowering stem and up to twenty small, green and reddish-brown flowers. Once believed extinct after a 156-year absence, its rediscovery in 2008 is a testament to nature's remarkable capacity for revival.

Across the Plateau, Tasmania’s vast high ground, lie remnants of a bygone era, a testament to 170 years of shepherds and cattlemen exploiting the land. In 1978, approximately 908 square kilometres were transformed into the Central Plateau Conservation Area, a beacon of preservation. Every echo of the past stands as a powerful reminder of the landscape’s profound cultural significance.
