THIS VIEW 💚

I walk along St Catherine’s Parade with my dogs most days. The other day as I was passing the Readymoney carpark entrance on my way down to the beach I was stopped by a couple to ask whether they were going the right way as they’d never been to this area before. I dispensed my usual tourist information advice with a smile and carried on my way.

It then struck me that very shortly they’d get to see this view for the first time ever. That glimpse through the trees of the turrets, the sandy cove and the sea: it’s just so special. I was actually a bit jealous, how lucky they were about to be. I’d never say that I take these views for granted as part of my daily life but that first glimpse, just wow.

It’s fair to say the weather has been a little less than summery this week, but there’s still plenty to do in and around Fowey, and our well equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a tasty meal at home if you don’t fancy eating out after a big day out. When you’re visiting Fowey, if you fancy a night or two on Cornwall’s north coast, we can highly recommend the Skyline Guesthouse Newquay - we had the pleasure of staying there this week and it was fabulous. Wonderful welcome, parking right outside, comfy bed and yummy breakfast.

Newly Refurbished Contemporary Bed & Breakfast Skyline Guest House is a large, detached, dormer- style house, decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. It offers quality accommodation at a very reasonable price. All rooms are en-suite. Conveniently situated on one of the main roads....

When thinking about a stay at Old Station Master’s House, guests often ask about the nearest beach. Luckily, you'll find beautiful Readymoney Cove is just a short 20-minute walk away (Google estimates 21 minutes!).

This stroll takes you on a picturesque journey through the heart of Fowey, making the journey itself an enjoyable experience. Starting from the apartment, venture left and wander through the enchanting streets of Fowey, soaking in its loveliness.

Along the way, you'll pass by cute shops and inviting bakeries, tempting you to indulge in some tasty treats for a picnic at the beach (or to eat along the way!). You might also want to check out the menu on the pubs and restaurants to plan a visit on your way home.

The path unfolds along the captivating Esplanade, and as you continue, you'll find yourself approaching the stunning Readymoney Cove, eagerly waiting to welcome you. The walk is simple, and the beach's allure makes it even more worthwhile.
