Update from Laos!

I finally got to visit the capital of Laos, Vientiane!

Unlike many bustling Southeast Asian capitals, Vientiane is renowned for its laid-back culture and serene atmosphere (see photo one for reference 🐤😉)

The statue of King Setthathirath, located in front of Pha That Luang (seen in photo two) is considered the most sacred monument in Laos! It represents the strength, leadership, and dedication to preserving Lao culture, independence, and Buddhism🙏

The World Peace Gong, adorned with flags from all nations, emphasizes harmony and coexistence. It has also become a very popular tourist attraction! (guilty as charged!)😅😅😂

Did you know Laos was once called ‘Lan Xang,’ or the ‘Land of a Million Elephants’? 🤔

This name came from the vast number of elephants that once roamed its incredible landscapes🌄🐘

I’m so excited to be following in their (slightly larger) footsteps and roaming this place too 🥰🚲
