While I continue to eat, drink and have a great day with family on this Thanksgiving I thought I would share my thoughts on several booths at this years Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. There is always something new to try and enjoy at one of Epcot’s many different festivals throughout the year!

While in JAPAN tasted the bao buns- these were filled with chicken and veggies- delicious and easy to eat when walking in the rain! SHIMMERING SIPS sampled one of the berry mimosa- very sweet, maybe a little too sweet for my liking. Also sampled the guava cake, the flavors and texture were spot on, however paired with the mimosa was a LOT of sugar! INDIA samosas are incredible! This pastry is packed with potatoes and peas and are out of this world delicious! NOODLES exchange offered a Thai shrimp curry dish and for $6.50 this dish can’t be missed!! The curry broth was so flavorful and the bowl was loaded with 5 huge pieces of shrimp. What would a trip to IRELAND be with out some Bailey’s?!?! For those that enjoy the taste of this irish cream it’s a drink you will LOVE! But the biggest hit of this festival was the pickle milkshake, your heard me right at the Brew Wing lab (think a combo of vanilla milkshake with a splash dill- not so bad IMO).

It’s beginning to look a lot like Xmas… in Walt Disney World!!! From the gingerbread house at Disneys Grand Floridian resort to the “Jingle Cruise” at Disneys Magic Kingdom holiday touches are all around and absolutely stunning!!

“You really went to WDW without your kids?!” - YUP- I sure did!

While I adore traveling to Disney with my children, it is a completely different experience traveling without them that I also enjoy! I was able to SLOW down and take in the surroundings of the parks and resorts. It was a pleasure to SIT and enjoy new cuisine that I typically wouldn’t if traveling with them and longer wait times for attractions weren’t a bother.

As a member of Just Keep Traveling I get the opportunity to travel to WDW and experience new attractions, festivals and more! This opportunity allows me to try new things and share them with YOU!

Advice- take the trip-You won’t regret it!!

Embrace the unpredictable weather of Orlando: When it’s 102 degrees- indoor attractions are a MUST! When it rains throw a poncho on! And when the temperature is just right grab a seat and enjoy the surroundings!!

TIP: did you know that water is FREE at Disney?!?! That’s right- go to any quick service location and ask for a cup of ice water!! BYO (water bottle) and enjoy cold water at no additional cost!

I openly admit that Animal Kingdom is my least favorite theme park at Walt Disney World, however it has drastically climbed up the rankings since my most recent visit. Once in the park, guests can board the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Here you have the opportunity to explore the conservation station, a place to view veterinary care and research AND enjoy the Animation Experience!

This 25-minute experience allows you to illustrate a popular Disney character by following along with a Disney animator.

Did you know that Walt Disney himself spent time with animals while illustrating some of the most iconic movie classics?!🦒🦓

This is an absolute MUST DO the next time you’re at Animal Kingdom!!

Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival allows you to enjoy global cuisine that isn’t always accessible in your hometown. I ventured to KENYA and for $7 enjoyed the Peri-Peri Skewered Shrimp. Not only was this plate delicious but also a great portion for the price! The shrimp had a ton of flavor with a perfect amount of spice and the citrus couscous and bean salad was a perfect balance to the dish. 10/10- I highly recommend!

Day 2: Hollywood Studios/ Animal Kingdom- incredible first time experiences from VIP meet n greet w/ Darth Vader to creating my very own Disney animated character Judy Hopps (no judgements on my artistic ability)- separate review to come of Animal Conservation. Of course what day at WDW wouldn’t be complete without eats and drinks!! Thank you Just Keep Traveling for allowing me the chance to enjoy these new experiences that I simply can’t wait to share with YOU!!

Day 1: Magic Kingdom/ EPCOT- new experiences were enjoyed at both theme parks including riding TRON (full review to come on this attraction) and experiencing Food & Wine Festival’s tasty eats & drinks (keep watching for tasty treats review)

Disney Resort Guests obtain early access to the theme parks- this means we had a 30 min head start of other guest to enjoy low wait times on popular attractions including Peter Pans Flight, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and TRON!. Now for a break to fill our bellies and hydrate!!

I am very fortunate to have stayed at a number of Walt Disney World Resorts- and in my opinion nothing is as magical and “royal” as Walt Disney Worlds Port Orleans Riverside. From light- up firework headboards to picture framed princesses the “royal themed” guest rooms are themed to perfection! (Additional touches include Aladdin’s magic carpet, genie inspired sink handles and more!) Do you have a favorite WDW resort?!
