📍Taughannock Falls, New York

Located in the Finger Lakes region near Ithaca, New York, it is a breathtaking natural wonder. This stunning waterfall plunges 215 feet, making it the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains and even taller than Niagara Falls.

The falls are part of Taughannock Falls State Park, which offers a variety of trails, including the Gorge Trail that provides an up-close view of the falls, and the Rim Trails that offer spectacular views from above. The park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring hiking, camping, and boating facilities. The surrounding cliffs, which rise nearly 400 feet above the gorge, add to the dramatic scenery.

Here are some interesting facts about Taughannock Falls:

Height: The waterfall has a drop of 215 feet (66 meters), making it 33 feet taller than Niagara Falls.
