The Confraternity of the Green Stag is an association of individuals striving to provide charitable assistance to those gentles who are unable to attend East Kingdom events due to the cost.

Greetings, people of the East!

The Confraternity of the Green Stag is a private organization composed of members of the Society for Creative Anachronism. We do not represent SCA, Inc. or any of the Kingdoms of the SCA in any way. Our mission is to assist those who may have financial barriers to attending Events.

Birka has a policy to provide free entry for 100 people in exchange for volunteering their time. However, if these people are not members, the Event is obligated to send in the non-member registration fee. They don't ask the volunteers to pay this (which is $10 per person). The Confraternity of the Green Stag is raising money to help offset this expense for the Event. If we happen to raise money beyond what is needed to cover the NMS for their volunteers, the excess will be made as a donation to the Birka general funds.
