This incredible main door is made of rosewood (Jacaranda) with carvings by Manoel Tunes and was built 4.30 meters high.
Eight different ships decorate the building's set of rosewood doors. Each of the doors features two vessels – probably taken from the company's fleet – inscribed in circles framed by branches of fruited coffee and flowering to***co, exactly as these products are represented in the national coat of arms,
The majestic main door of the former Companhia Docas de Santos, seen above, is centrally decorated by two vessels – alluding to the activity of the company installed there -, framed by the rich Brazilian vegetation, represented by to***co leaves, palm trees, sugar cane plants. sugar and coffee.
Built in rosewood, with worked bronze hinges and stops, it is 4.30m high, 2.30m wide and 0.20m thick.
This door was made in 1906.
