Quick question. If your next holidays flight is delayed... how would you rather pass the time during that delay?
Scenario A - Making do with a space on the floor, a hard plastic seat or a corridor. Occasionally getting up for a coffee or a beer... maybe a sandwich?
Coffee = £4 each.
Beer = £6 each.
Bottle of water = £2 each
Full english breakfast = £6 each
Sandwich = £ 5.50 each (and i'm being conservative with prices here...)..and lets consider that your flight is delayed for just 2 hours and you're travelling as a party of 6 adults. 3 beers, 3 coffee's, and a breakfast each.... is going to set you back £66... just for that 1 round, 45 minutes later there going bonkers for another round of drinks (6 beers = £36) ... just for something to do to pass the time. That's a total of £102 at the airport even before your holiday even begins.

So after my short trip I can recommend that you go to loro park on the south of the island, its an amazing day out and fun for all ages. My personal favorite was the penguin enclosure, they can mimic snow and ice to simulate there natural environment. very cool.
