"Zakimi Castle Ruins."
Those ruins became very popular because of the atypical curve of the stone wall.
It is a very peaceful site, but the roads on the east and north sides are hard to walk on due to the rugged and oddly sized stones embedded all over the place.
Why dug these stones in the ground?
Maybe for pure artistic and design sense?
Maybe to make it difficult for the enemy to walk toward them from that direction?
The more you think about it, the more you realize that Zakimi Castle was constructed in a very pragmatic way.

The first thing that comes into view is the Shureimon Gate.
It is a popular photo spot thanks to its elegant design.

At the top of the stairs is Zuisenmon Gate.
Zuisen means "splendid and auspicious spring," and luckily, there is a spring on the right side of the gate.

It was the castle of Hokuzan, a kingdom that flourished before the Ryukyu Kingdom era.
It's also a World Heritage Site and is a place where the depth of history and the beauty of nature unique to Okinawa coexist.

With the extensive exhibits, sophisticated costumes for visitors to try on, and merchandise for sale, the building interior is also attractive, taking advantage of its state of preservation.
The 1st floor, used to be a dining hall, a playroom, and the Chamber of Commerce office.
The second floor was mostly occupied by the great hall and stage, where concerts and exhibitions were held.

Located in Motomachi Park at the foot of Mt. Hakodate, this building is designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
With Hakodate Bay below, exotic churches surrounding it, and Mt. Hakodate looming high above, it is a popular tourist attraction that offers visitors a sense of a Western-style port city.

Built on a sloping site, its impactful blue-gray and yellow exterior, a combination of Japanese and Western styles, is very popular.
