Usually, all the Christian sites that we have across the country, doesn't matter where, are traditional. They're based on somebody who recognized some place as a place of some event of Jesus's life.
But this one is really special.
This is the synagogue, actually remains of it, of Magdala, the former city on the Sea of Galilee where Mary Magdalene was born and met him.
A synagogue those days used to be the only communal building of every Jewish village, town or city, so Jesus couldn't skip it while visiting Magdala.
This way we can say that he definitely was here.
Pretty cool isn't it?

If you want to get baptized or just to watch others doing that, here is the place.
A little spoiler, Jesus wasn't baptized here, so why do so many people come to this particular place?

Once it use to be a Roman building.
Once it stood somewhere in another place.
But then somebody bought it and brought to Capernaum, and placed it at the place of the synagogue, Jesus preached in.
It looks so not belong to this place, 'cause everything here is black and only it is white.

I would add that at least one of those measures definitely went to the Yamin Moshe neighborhood.
But there is the problem, when Talmud was written, Yamin Moshe hadn't been built yet.

Coming to the Western Wall from an unexpected direction.
Not everyone knows that the main seen part of the Western Wall is actually its upper part, and mostly the wall is hidden down to 11 meters underground.
And the most exciting and cool thing in all this story, that you really can visit it. That's exactly what my tourists did.

A stairway to the Temple.
These are the Ofel Stairs, the main way used ones, two thousand years ago, by Jewish people as an entrance to the Second Temple through the Southern Wall.
Today this way to the Temple Mount is blocked and there is the dome of Al Aksa Mosque above the wall, but you still can go on the stairs leading to the Temple.

If you ask me to choose the most impressive church in Israel, I would definitely point at the largest one, at the Basilica of the Annunciation which is in Nazareth.
Why?
Because you'll get it from the very first minute you come inside it.

The Jaffa, a luxury hotel in Jaffa, the oldest part of Tel Aviv.
The restored historical building of the former monastery which was converted into a hotel with the remains of the city walls from crusaders' times in the lobby, the restaurant inside the former church and many other unexpected things.
This city never disappoints you.

It was so cold, rainy and windy day today. The Barbara storm has already gone, but its final gasp was really tough, especially in Jerusalem.
So what the tour guide has to do in these circumstances?
Of course to visit as many churches as he can!
