🌍✨ Got any bucket list items? Destinations you're determined to visit? Challenges you're destined to take on and conquer? Gros Morne is one of those challenges. The hike is estimated to take 6 hours—if you don't stop—but for us, it took closer to 9 hours. And let me tell you, the climb was worth every minute! 🏔️💪

🌲✨ "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." While descending from Gros Morne's summit, we stumbled upon the most amazing sight—a moose in his natural habitat. Truly a moment that took our breath away. 🦌🏔️

📸 The Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park.

🌍🏞️ What makes the Tablelands so special? These unique geological formations are unlike anything else in the world. The striking red and orange rock formations were once part of the Earth's mantle, deep beneath the planet's crust. A truly remarkable sight! 🌋🌟

🚤🌟 We never tire of watching the boats in the harbour. There's so much joy in seeing the fishermen offload their haul at the fishery. After all their hard work, a great reward should be in store for the captain and crew. Cheers to their dedication and the fruits of their labour! 🎣🏆

🏰🌊 Signal Hill is an iconic must-see spot in Newfoundland, rich with history and stunning views. Pictured here is Cabot Tower, where construction began in 1897 to commemorate both Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and the 400th anniversary of John Cabot's landfall in 1497. The building officially opened in 1900 and served practical purposes such as flag mast signaling and housing a Marconi wireless station, which has since been moved to St. John's International Airport. A true landmark of our heritage! 🇨🇦📡

🐦 Catch 'em while you can—come September 10th, they fly away! You can't be serious!? That's what we said until we made the drive on September 12th. Those Puffins know. They arrive in mid-June and start to leave the first week of September. So, we took a seat in the Puffin chairs and pouted—lol! 😅

🏠🌈 Ever wondered why Jellybean Row Houses are so colorful? There are two answers: the real one and the kind of, sort of, maybe, but not really real one. I prefer the latter.

Legend has it that in the early days, sailors returning from the fishing grounds would spot their homes on the hillsides after long voyages at sea. Sometimes, our city is blanketed in a beautiful veil of fog—not exactly ideal for spotting your house. So, sailors decided to paint their homes in vibrant hues to make them stand out against the cool grey mist, ensuring they could always find their way home. A touch of whimsy and practicality, Newfoundland style! 🌊🎨

🍓❤️ Every time I spot partridge berries, I reminisce about Nanny’s jam. Some of my favourite memories include tasting the jam on crackers or toast.

Nanny’s Partridge Berry Jam Recipe:
📝 8 cups of berries
📝 4 cups of sugar
📝 For every cup of berries, 1/2 cup of sugar
Heat it up until the mix liquefies. Pure nostalgia in every bite. 🥄✨
